Sunday, August 14, 2016 Running through Palo Alto's Arastradero Park and into Foothills Park through the 'secret' gate, this is the classic Palo Alto trail run. Hilly for sure, but not extreme, this route covers miles of fabulous single track. The Foothill Park section of the route offers Peninsula and Bay views as well as a sense of the wild. The longer route runs 3 miles along the beautiful Los Trancos Creek. Mapped routes of 7.3 & 13.6 miles.
Meet at 8:00am for an 8:20am start. A bit of an earlier start as the parking lot fills up and is so close to home (so really minimal driving time).
These are remote trail runs and so each runner is encouraged to carry at least one water bottle.
To avoid having to search for lost runners we ask that runners of approximately the same ability and ambition form groups and be accountable for group members.
There will be a runners' potluck after the run, so please bring a healthy drink or snack to share.
