With the wet weather we will be running in March at Wunderlich Park in Woodside as these trails hold up quite well in the wet and are sheltered by the ridge and forest. Even in the wet, you'll be impressed by the groves of majestically beautiful Redwoods that compliment Wunderlich's comprehensive & well-maintained trail system. As well, Wunderlich is only 15 minutes driving from Palo Alto
After the run we'll meet for brunch at Buck's in Woodside about 10:15am (some may get there earlier too). As local trails have become more popular, Wunderlich's parking lot is filling up early. So let's start a bit earlier than usual with an 8 am meeting time and 8:15 start.
If you've never been to Buck's, its a slice of Silicon Valley history and well worth taking in. Buck's is a short drive from the trail head.
When Sunday, March 24. Meet at 8:00 am for a pre-run briefing and an 8:15 am start.
Driving together is encouraged, but as Wunderlich is close by, we are not setting up an official car pool. Pls be super careful and considerate of the many cyclists who will be enjoying the roads of Woodside.
Where Wunderlich County Park, 4040 Woodside Rd, Woodside. There is no parking fee. More park info can be found here. Buck's is located at 3062 Woodside Road, Woodside.
What A long 10.5 mile long run (2,500' vertical) and an intermediate 7.5 mile run (1,700' vertical) . This is a remote trail run and each runner should carry at least one water bottle. To avoid having to search for lost runners, we will stay together in groups of approximately the same running abilities and distance interests.
