Castle Rock State Park
Saturday, March 16, 2013
On the highest ridge above Saratoga and with the likely clear weather this year, Castle Rock trails will provide grand vistas over Big Basin and out to the Pacific and Monterey. As well, the run back is mostly an even and runnable uphill grade on excellent trail - its a great workout! In wet years there is a waterfall; we can only hope for rain this year. Even if damp the park remains a natural treasure as the trails are sheltered from the elements by an abundance of trees and is generally mud-resistant.
