Monte Bello and Los Trancos Open Space Preserves
Sunday, November 10, 2013
In November, the Monthly Trail Run takes advantage of the cooling weather to return the ridge line vicinity for this run up to the top of Black Mountain featuring 360-degree panoramic views stretching from the bay out to the ocean. The run then returns via the beautiful (and shady) Stevens Creek Nature Trail, with a new extension through the Los Trancos OSP, featuring the San Andreas fault!
When Sunday, November 10, 2013. Meet at 8:20am for an 8:30am start. Carpools will leave promptly at 8:00am from the Park&Ride lot at 280 and Page Mill Road.
Where Monte Bello OSP. There is no parking fee.
How to get there Follow this Google Maps route, or set your GPS to lat=37.325862, lon=-122.178564.
What A 9.5 mile long route and a medium 6 mile route. Printed trail maps (like the one below) will be available at the start of the run. This is a remote trail run and each runner must carry at least one water bottle. To avoid having to search for lost runners we ask every runner to find other runners of approximately the same running ability to form a group. As usual, there will be a potluck after the run, so please bring food or drink to share.
