Well, I'd like to think that each of the PARC Monthly Trail Runs is special, the next two however, extra so.

It's a trail run... it's a City run... there's a ferry ride (two, actually)... it's on an island... in the Middle of The Bay ... and... there's dim sum as PARC's Monthly Trail Run returns to Angel Island!

On Sunday, PARC's Monthly Trail Run heads to nearby Windy Hill. Our most popular trail destination. After the run we will gather at Konditorei (yelp 4.5 stars), a small friendly coffee shop just a few minutes from the trail head. This Sunday (4/19) PARC's Monthly Trail Run heads to scenic Pacifica to run the magnificent and geologically interesting Montara Mtn. The Monthly Trail run last visited this amazing mountain in 2008, the return is long overdue.  Most of the route route offers wide Pacific vistas on the mostly exposed slopes of the mountain.

With lots of signups for the trail run on FB and our new Meetup page, seems that many are anticipating the need for a post-vDay recovery adventure. Weather forecast is for continued perfection. Our Castle Rock trail run is on for tomorrow morning. Looks like perfect(!) running weather, cool with great views promised.

Thx to those who RSVPed, its not necessary, but is appreciated. & we always have many join in who haven't RSVPed, so lace up those trail shoes and see you at the carpool and then the trail head.

I plan to park within the park so that we have a place for the potluck that's not right by the road.

The event organizers just let me know that registration is still open for this event. Knowing them well, it will be a lot of fun with great support and organization. This month PARC's trail run heads south to Almaden Quicksilver where the route starts with wide open vistas and ends on a fabulous long wooded single track back to the parking. I just stopped by Zombie Runner & picked up a full bag of donated prizes - seasonally black ZR hats, socks, snacks, and gift certs(!) to add to the prize stash we'll be handing out. Thanks ZombieDC! Along with several groves of majestically beautiful Redwoods, all of Wunderlich's trails are well shaded. With well maintained trails, Wunderlich is close to Palo Alto and the intermediate route is shorter than our usual making this month's run a good choice for beginning trail runners.
